The Regenerative Medicine and Cell Therapy Research Center of Kaohsiung Medical University signed a three-year collaborative research agreement with the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA), Kyoto University, on October 14, 2025, further deepening substantial cooperation between the two institutions in the field of regenerative medicine. During the collaboration period, Assoc. Prof. Jia-Jung Lee, Asst. Res. Yi-Hsiung Lin, Postdoc. Ling-Hua Chang, and PhD candidate Dr. Chin-Wen Hsieh from the KMU Institute of Medicine visited CiRA’s laboratories for research exchange, learning key techniques for differentiating induced pluripotent stem cells into nephron progenitor cells and ureteric bud lineage cells, thereby strengthening the center’s technical capacity in kidney regeneration and precision medicine–related research.
