Kaohsiung Medical University achieved remarkable success at the 22nd National Innovation Awards with 13 awards in total. The Regenerative Medicine and Cell Therapy Research Center alone received four Clinical Innovation Awards for the Easy-Suck electrocautery accessory, the Smart Excrement Collection Bag, the Easy Void handheld uroflowmeter, and innovative head and neck cancer microsurgical flap reconstruction and monitoring, highlighting its strong clinical innovation in surgical devices, smart care, and reconstructive surgery. This recognition underscores the center’s key role in integrating clinical needs with regenerative medicine, medical device development, and AI technologies to enhance patient safety and care quality, and to drive biomedical innovation and clinical translation in southern Taiwan.
